Interserve Wins £500m Defra Support Contract

Interserve, the services, maintenance and building group, has been awarded the Sustainable Built Environment Workplace Support (SBEWS) contract by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The 15-year contract has a core services value of approximately £500 million, although it is expected that the full value of services delivered, including projects and additional works, will significantly exceed this.

Interserve scoops Overall Winner along with two prestigious awards at the recent Premises and Facilities Management Awards Ceremony

Interserve's recent awards success continued in London this month, winning three prestigious Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) Awards including FMA Young Manager of the Year for Clare Raybould, Partners in PFI/PPP and Overall Winner for the successful partnership between Interserve's Project Armada and the MoD. Interserve wins £70 million contract with the Foreign Commonwealth Office

Today Interserve signed a contract with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) to provide facilities management (FM) services for the FCO's UK estate and 14 diplomatic missions in Europe. The fixed-price elements of the deal are worth approximately £70 million over seven years with a possible extension of up to three years.

SIA approval in four categories

Modernising the Newcastle Hospitals - £300 million Hospital Scheme Underway

The official ceremonies to mark the start of major hospital redevelopments in Newcastle took place on the 16th June 2005. A "turf cutting" for the new wing of the Royal Victoria Infirmary was carried out by Mr Len Fenwick, Trust Chief Executive. Then a similar ceremony was led by Mrs Hilary Parker, non-executive director of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS trust and chair of the Trust's Project Board for the works, on the Freeman Hospital site.

A consortium involving Interserve, the support services group, has been named preferred bidder for the MOD's Armoured Vehicles Training Service (AVTS) programme. The AVTS PFI programme is valued at approximately £1 billion, over 30 years. Subject to negotiations, a contract is expected to be signed in late 2005. Under the contract Interserve will provide services worth in the region of £120 million.

An Interserve joint venture, Landmarc Support Services Limited, has signed a £600 million public-private partnership (PPP) contract to provide facilities management and range operations for the Ministry of Defence's (MoD) Army Training Estate (ATE). The contract is for an initial period of 10 years with the option of extension for a further five. The joint venture was named preferred bidder for the contract in December 2002.
